Our story
Every lasting institution is born of a conviction greater than itself. The story of American English Academy began at Plaza Guaymas, where English classes were already being taught to students seeking new opportunities. When the space closed without warning, Miss Ana Emma Kiamy Serrano had to make a decision: let that effort go unfinished, or give continuity to educational work that was already meeting a real need.
For Ana Emma, English was not just a subject. In her own family she had already seen the value of a second language: her father had studied in the United States and understood how English could open paths, expand opportunities, and transform the way a person prepares for the future.
That is how American English Academy began: as a firm decision to continue, formalize, adapt, and build. More than three decades later, that same principle still guides the institution: teaching English with commitment, rigor, and purpose so that every student can go further.
